The Gas Allocation portal provides information relating to the allocation process carried out under the Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008. This information includes public and private allocation reports, latest news, FAQs, a web portal user guide, and links to the Gas Industry Co website. The allocation portal also allows allocation participants to transfer files to and from the allocation agent. Gas Downstream rules
The rules and obligations of the allocation agent are contained in the Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008 which went live on 1 October 2008. The Rules are available from the Gas Industry Co website

File names and formats
Allocation file formats and the file naming convention are specified in Reconciliation File Formats Notice available on the Gas Industry Co website. It describes the format of each file transferred to and from the allocation manager under the Rules. It also describes the standard file naming convention used by the allocation agent when creating file names.

The following allocation reports are available for the public to download.- Seasonal adjustment daily shape values.
- A summary of UFG and retailer allocation
- A comparison of billed and submission quantities
- Annual UFG factors
Additional reports are available to participants once they have logged in to the portal.
